Lecture series + exercise in summer semester, mandatory for Bachelor's students with an area of specialisation in SCM, recommended for the 4th semester, 2 contact hours per week per semester
Vuluntary colloquium, recommended for the 4th semster, 1 contact hours per week per semester

Contents:

The fundamantals and an overview of  production planning, supply chain (SC) planning, supply chain management

Course outline:

  • Introduction (basics, production and SC types, modelling, planning)
  • Strategic and tactical planning (concepts, design of production systems and SCs)
  • Mid-term operative planning (forecasting, master production scheduling, master planning)
  • Short-term operative planning (Material Requirements Planning, lotsizing, order release and control, inventory management)
